Last March, Gerald and I traveled to the Yucatan with the Cosmic Mysteries School to meet with Mayan Elder Hunbatz Men and to visit and hold ceremony/meditate at several sacred sites. We joined the gathering for the Spring Equinox sunset at Chichen Itza and the next morning we witnessed an amazing sunrise through a gateway built in the image of the Mayan pyramid at Lol Be. Lol Be is a private sacred site being built by Hunbatz Men in conjunction with international mystery schools for the purpose of having a place for ceremony. Evidently, the Maya are not allowed to hold ceremony at their sacred sites in the Yucatan. They must pretend to be napping while meditating or secretly and quietly have ceremony that would not be noticed by guards....I am sure your head is nodding in disbelief as mine did when we approached Chichen Itza and were told we had to hide being ceremonial. Anyway, this trip was life changing for us, so when we received the itinerary for the pilgrimage, we knew we had to go - and take the kids. We found someone to milk the goats, feed the chickens, dogs, cats, and baby calf, cover the garden with compost and straw for the winter... and off we go!
While we were in the car yesterday, Jack asked me what the word 'loitering' means. The picture in my mind was of someone hanging out somewhere innocently doing nothing, and therefore somehow being subversive in a buck authority kind of way. I was reminded of all the ancient ruins we loitered in while in the Yucatan, and wondered how this would be going to these "parks" in the US.
Our first destination was Serpent Mound, a 1348 ft long effigy of a serpent thought to be built 2000 years ago by the Adena tribe. Is this in the history/geography books? NO! I've never heard of Serpent Mound, and this is an amazing sacred site - located outside of Peebles, OH, east of Cincinnati if you are interested in visiting. The undulations of the serpent line up with either a solstice or equinox sunrise and sunset, along with other interesting alignments like the sunset of the first winter frost date. A line drawn from the tip of the tail through the center of the head, lines up with True North. And again I wonder how did we go backwards in being connected to the cosmos? Like the guy who runs the local country store a mile from our farm said, "If you'ns want somethin' to last thousands of years, so that someone someday gits the message.. where d'ya write it? In stone, in stone!" Evidently when planes fly over Serpent Mound their instruments go coo-coo, so we know there is magnetic energy here big time. The ancients built it and it lasted to guide us to this point today.
So here is the juice…
People gathered at Serpent Mound today starting in the morning with meditations and celebrations. We pulled into the parking lot at 2pm and watched people getting out of vehicles with drums, ceremonial objects, lively sacred attire, and there was an air of excitement. The 2pm teaching by Hunbatz Men had to be relocated to another place due to the amount of people who donated to the cause to hear him talk, so we drove away and returned a couple of hours later to find the parking lot overflowing, the staff kindly exasperated at the unbelievable amount of people present, and we were given directions to an adjacent field on someone’s private property to park at. Evidently the local authorities were on their way because people were parking along the winding country road leading up to Serpent Mound and that was not acceptable. Oh well, at least loitering was not listed as forbidden in the US Department of Interior’s NOTICE for protecting lands administered by the National Park Service. I was just plain excited to see so many people turn out for this initiation.
Hunbatz Men, along with the pilgrimage group and their crystal skulls, began the ceremony by leading a procession around the paved sidewalk that encircles the serpent effigy. Everyone had to respectfully stay on the sidewalk and this went very well. They lead with a burning bowl of copal, drumming, rattles shaking, flutes playing, and 2 vocal Native American men singing chants the whole way around. Hunbatz said that the head of the serpent was built in the shape of the Mayan symbol of the Milky Way, and as he approached the head of the serpent, the earth and sky responded in acknowledgement of our efforts. The sun was setting in the West, and I noticed that suddenly very dark clouds had formed in the west and covered the sun, I nudged my friend Mary next to me and said how they looked like snow clouds. Then it began to gently rain, and the clouds shifted a bit to the north and the sun reappeared. As Hunbatz rounded the tip of the head, a wind blew in from the southwest. In that moment, I saw rain droplets flying on the wind, illuminated by the sun, and I thought “All the elements are here!! The elements are honoring our walk – fire, water, air, earth, and certainly spirit.” Then as we reached the west side of the head, and looked east, of course there was a full rainbow across the sky… I think I smiled so hard that I laughed out loud with joy. Within a minute it all dissipated, the wind and the rain were gone and the sun was fully back to setting with colors on the horizon. It was one of those moments when you would probably think “Did that really just happen?” but I knew it did because I was present in that moment.
In case you are wondering, the boys (Jack and Haven) did participate in the ceremony. They processed and danced with the drummers, Jack held his ball python “Peridot” out to all the crystal skulls that were placed around the tree, they touched and took pictures of the skulls, and then went to the car to play Yahtzee.
For my Sisters of the Eclectic Divine… I saw Blue Girl at the ceremony and hugged her neck. Her emergence ceremony will be Easter Sunday at Isis Cove, so here’s your rally cry. We be there.
Next we are going to Cahokia Mound in IL, just east of St. Louis, MO for ceremony Oct. 31 at 10:30 and I will not be late.

Tara,
ReplyDeleteThis is wonderful reporting! Concise & hilarious! Are you really travelling cross-country with a python in the car? For real?
I've sent your link to many others.
These Days Out of Time are filled with opportunity to gain greater coherence; Planetary Logos is undergoing Initiation thru Solar Logos, giving us all opportunity to participate by tuning in & aligning our astral bodies with the Christos. Sacred Joy & High Coherence.
I measured the frequencies in the shafts of light on Hunbatz at Serpent Mound; filled with high BG3! Beautiful.
Be very, very careful with the skulls, however. The white one has NO BG3 (none of the beneficial frequencies we'd expect in a sacred object) while the black one does have BG3 but that does not rule out having detrimental frequencies...haven't had time to scan for those.
Some of the skulls have been compromised with dark formulas to influence those who contact them. I know this from experience, not heresay. No offense intended to any of the Skull Carriers. Contamination can happen without their knowing. Advise extreme caution with the skulls.
Please continue to write!!! We are enjoying the view thru your lively Self!
yes, definitely traveling with a python.. even had to stop at a pet store for gourmet frozen mice! Thanks for the BG3 review, check out the Bolivian skull. I'll call you tomorrow from your old stompin grounds.
ReplyDeleteTara, thanks so much for this blog and sharing yoru experience. It all sounds amazing! Wish I was there. Can't wait to hear more. Keep it coming.
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting in my office chair, with tears streaming down my face. I genuinely thank you for sharing your words with us. Even more so, your presentation of the spiritual energy that are present during this sacred loitering. You really are a light-bearer. Blessings....
